About This Show

Part of the Caribbean Cultural Theatre’s Classic Stage series that highlights the work of some of the most distinguished writers form the Caribbean of the early to mid twentieth century, SHORTS! showcases a few of the most hilarious short comic plays of veteran writer Freddie Kissoon. This laugh-fest from one of the Caribbean’s most prolific playwrights marks the largest retrospective of Mr. Kissoon’s work in the United States.

A warmhearted look at Caribbean life from the cradle to the grave… and beyond, SHORTS includes such works as “Zingay,” “Like Hog Love Mud,” “Beauty Contest,” and “Mamaguy.” It pulls on the talents of comedien Susan Olton Kennedy, Calypsonian Doctor Witty, AUDELCO Award nominee Dianne Dixon along with Christopher Larmond, Christine Lord-Davis, Arnett Nurse, Marcha Tracey, Jerry Victor and Ariane Wint. E. Wayne McDonald directs.
