Secret History

Ping Chong conceives and directs Secret History, part of his ongoing Undesirable Elements series. It explores the effects of history, race, and culture through the personal testimonies of foreign-born New Yorkers. The work is created through a collaborative process by which Chong interviews people about their lives, cultural identities, and experiences of coming to a new place — in this case New York City, 2000.
