Same Train

Horse Trade Theater Group presents The John Montgomery Theatre Company’s production of Same Train, a musical/spoken word collaboration between Levy Lee Simon (Playwright), Nicki H.J. Stadm(Director) and Mark Bruckner (Composer, Lyricist, Musical Director).

This multi-cultural work fuses song, movement, and virtuoso storytelling together with the sounds and rhythms of hip-hop, the angular improvisations of bebop, the soul of R & B, and the spirit of the blues. These emotionally charged musical and poetic forms intersect in unexpected ways to share the struggles and triumphs of 7 individuals, within the “Black Diaspora.”
