About This Show

A Rock Expose of Saddam & the Bush Dynasty featuring book, music & lyrics by Mitch Kess. Additional Dialogue: by Saddam Hussein, Uday & Qusay Hussein, Dubya, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet, Colin Powell, and Condoleezza Rice

A Newsweek article in February 2004 revealed as UN weapons inspectors scoured Iraq in search of weapons of mass destruction, the country’s ruthless dictator, Saddam Hussein was hard at work – on his second novel. The Iraqi National Theater was planning to turn his first novel (Zabibah and the King) into a hit musical, the country’s biggest-ever stage production.

Believing that the only “failure of imagination,” was in the 9/11 Commission’s findings, Saddamn The Musical takes you to Baghdad and Washington during the months before and after September 11, 2001. Through rock songs and video projections you will be guided through a world of egos, calculated errors, omissions and misinformation.

Using extensive research seldom mentioned in mainstream news, Saddamn The Musical entertains and evolves while connecting the dots in a sometimes shocking, sometimes poignant way.
