New York City
In a play where the “fourth wall” exists in so many inconceivable, unexpected planes, the audience might as well get up and do their own song and dance! This irreverent, taut, wickedly funny, brutally honest piece of theatre questions all that we theatergoers hold sacred; such as “Why Othello trusts Iago, night after night, matinee after matinee?” or “why Romeo and Juliet kill themselves daily?” and “why do we keep waiting for Godot, knowing full well that he’ll never show up?” In rogerandtom, Penny is Penny but Rich is William and Roger is Tom and the theater is just a theater. Isn’t it? Even after you see it, you may still not believe it.
There is an additional performance Saturday, March 29 @ 10:00pm.
