Tom is in love with two people: Chloe, his ex-girlfriend and Danny, his current paramour – who is also Chloe’s younger brother. Tom and Danny break into Chloe’s apartment (believing she’s out of town) for a round of beers and a romp in her bed. However, just as the men’s love/lust-making comes to a head, Chloe’s key finds its way into the apartment door. Through the course of the play, Tom’s original vindictive intentions turn into a cry for something he’s never before voiced aloud, culminating in his desperate plea, “Why can’t I be happy?”
