Quasimango, The Lunchbox of Notre Dame

Bob Katz, “The Folk Punk Woody Allen”, and his rascally mangos present Quasimango, the Lunchbox of Notre Dame, a one-man, ten-mango musical, in which our hero, a deformed mango, strives to win the affection of Notre Dame Fighting Irish cheerleader Esmeralda Kelly. As Esmeralda is traded to the never-winning Columbia University Lions, Quasi follows her from South Bend, Indiana to the North Pole to a cataclysmic climax at Columbia’s football stadium. Sung and narrated by a single performer who assumes more than ten roles – nine of them mangos – this combination of folk, blues, rock, and rap tells a story like no other.
