New York City
In Pulling the Wool, choreographer/director Jill Sigman creates a zeitgeist landscape that is part theater, part visual installation, and part performance fun park. Audience members are invited to enter and exit at any time during 3-hour performance blocks and wander freely in the vintage gymnasium. The remarkable bi-level space allows viewers to watch from the floor and from the wrought-iron balcony above, shaping their own viewing experience. Movement, text, video, live electronic music, and interactive audience booths are layed in this multi-media exploration of truth and deception in post 9/11 America.
Presented by Dixon Place and Arts at University Settlement/NYC.
Appropriate for audiences 14+
