New York City
Animated Theaterworks, Inc. presents a showcase production of Prince Hal by Bennett Windheim. It’s 1958 and nearly a decade since Hal (Heshie) Feinman, broke away from the heavily Jewish Brighton Beach community of his youth to find success in the wider world. But when he returns to attend the wedding of his high school friends Irwin and Estelle, he discovers that the past he thought he had escaped still has a hold on him. And it’s creating havoc not only for him, but also for everybody else in his life.
There is an added Sunday matinee at 3PM on March 23.
“Prince Hal is a remarkable production for all involved and certainly destined for greater things…The cast was uniformly excellent… [and the director’s difficult task of] recreating (two) time periods in one play… was marvelously accomplished.”
