So what happens when you peel this banana? What lies beyond the outer layers of doctor, writer, lover or fighter? of hetero, homo, bi, sexual first, second, multi, generational mono, multi, racial, South, East, and Pacific Asian Americans? Do they use forks and throw chopsticks across the room?
Journey with Peeling the Banana as they tell stories grounded in the reality of day-to-day life, in survival and personal struggle. Perhaps the most uncommon aspect of Peeling is that the performers tell tales that in a way really aren’t so uncommon?except that they aren’t commonly told.
