The BAM Local Development Corporation (BAM LDC) and chashama present Outside Art, a new festival of Free summer performances in the BAM Cultural District. The four-week outdoor festival will feature modern and Shakespearean theater and dance performances by emerging New York City-based artists. It will be held in BAM Park located at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn.
The Outside Art festival will feature four different performance programs from July 15 through August 7:
The Boomerang Theatre Company performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream
July 15, July 16 and July 17 at 7:00 p.m.
Christalyn Wright and company performing Dreamscape: Where Womb Powers Supersede
July 23, July 24 and July 25 at 7:00 p.m.
Pilot House, The Theater Company performing Love’s Labour’s Lost
July 28, July 29, July 30, July 31, August 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Suitcase Players performing 15-minute versions of classic American plays
August 5, August 6 and August 7 at 7:00 p.m.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food vendors will be on site for all performances.
