Our Place in Time

Women’s Project & Productions, the workplace for women in American theatre, continues its 1999-2000 season with the NYC premiere of Clare Coss’s, OUR PLACE IN TIME. This production is a collage of New York stories woven from the defining events of the last 50 years. The play starts with two high-school girls discovering their sexuality (and butch/femme) in the ’50’s and continues through the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas hearings of the ’90’s. With humor, grit and conviction that touch the heart, this cascade of private moments shaped by public events is drawn from the playwright?s life, and maybe yours.
