Gorilla Rep brings its production of Othello to Belvedere Castle in Central Park. In true Gorilla fashion, this production is not about race. Othello’s counterpoint symphony of missed opportunity, of might-have-been, of bitter love and a sweet revenge is played on the lyre of culture — Moorish, Venetian, Florentine, and Cypriot — and the dissonance is deadly.
