Onion Girl

In Joye Cook Levy’s Onion Girl, Billy is trying to escape the looming shadow of her recently passed mother, and she must decide between selling the family restaurant built from nothing and following her heart. Will she escape from the restraints of familial responsibility to fulfill her own dreams and needs? Set during the 80’s in the interior of the unique Tastee In & Out, a 50’s style, drive thru only, fast food restaurant serving its signature onion chips and loose meat sandwiches, Onion Girl explores the rationality (or lack there of) of tradition verses the temptation of the unknown.
