About the Show
London, 1665. The plague has quarantined a wealthy, elderly couple in their boarded-up home. A street-corner prophet stands outside their window, calling for an uprising of the poor. A young girl breaks in, followed by a runaway sailor. Their lives collide amid sexual and class warfare and the fever of disease. Winner of the 1997 OBIE Award for best play.
