No Sex Please, We’re British

The Heights Players opens its 53rd season with the arousing comedy, No Sex Please, We’re British, by Anthony Marriot and Alistair Foot. The farce surrounds an assistant bank manager and his new bride, who live above the bank. When the young wife innocently sends off a mail order for Scandinavian glassware, what comes back is Scandinavian pornography. The two, along with the bank’s frantic chief cashier, must decide what to do with the veritable flood of pornography, photographs, books, films and eventually girls that threaten to engulf this happy couple. Naturally the matter is considerably complicated by the presence of the mother of the groom, his boss, a visiting bank inspector and a police superintendent. Add to the mix two ‘ladies of the evening,’ and you have all the ingredients for lots of misunderstandings and lots of laughs.
