DC-based, award-winning solo performer and choreographer Nejla Y. Yatkin presents Wings of Desire. The work includes two NYC premieres: For People with Wings and Echoes of Hope for Those Still on the Ground. Both pieces deal with transformation of the body, of the soul and of the viewer when making choices, moving towards them as well as within the life cycle. While very much grounded in the reality of day-to-day existence, this piece is a celebration of humanity and a longing to transcend.
