About This Show

Artemis & The Wild Things (ATWT) present a free love, rock and roll staging of William Shakespeare?s Much Ado About Nothing, directed and choreographed by Artemis Preeshl. Set to classic 60?s rock in the controversial Vietnam War, this witty and challenging love story turns romance on its head. Just returned from the front lines, heroic Claudio falls for lovely Hero and they plan to wed. While evil Don John (bastard brother of the Prince) plots to prevent the happy couple from uniting, they conspire with the Prince to trick Benedick, a self-professed bachelor, and Beatrice, his spirited sparring partner, into falling in love with each other.

ATWT unites a multicultural company of actors, dancers, and musicians to perform original dance and classical theater, often with original music and dance incorporating styles from many cultures.

$8 students and seniors, TDF accepted

There is a 2-drink minimum at all performances at The Duplex. No one under 21 admitted.

About ATWT’s highly acclaimed, controversial, all-female Romeo & Juliet at Expanded Arts, Show Business Weekly exclaimed, “The all-female cast breathes new life into Shakespeare’s tale of star-crossed lovers and gives the play an interesting perspective. Artemis & The Wild Things have proved that it is possible to revitalize a classic.”
