Mrs. Darling’s Bed ‘N’ Board

London is in ruins, a city battered yet strongly defiant. As the hospitals struggle under the weight of the dead and the dying, the walking wounded are found in makeshift quarters in any place left standing. As he stands nervously upon the steps of Mrs Darling’s once notorious theatrical guest house, Private Levi Shirley is drawn to the sight of a beautiful young man standing naked at the window… and so the game begins. A war scarred, fragile, toy soldier will be pushed to breaking point as his gloriously vulgar landlady and her deeply troubled tenant play a complex, dangerous and erotic game as they each battle for his affections. As his first night at Mrs Darling’s reaches its end, amid the shocking revelations, the heartbreaking truth of war, a young soldier finds something he would never have dared to imagine, love. Mrs. Darling’s Bed ‘N’ Board is presented as part of the 10th Annual New York International Fringe Festival.
