Medea’s Got Some Issues

About the Show

Hell hath no funny like a woman scorned!

Medea’s got Some Issues… is both a madcap parody and a tribute to Euripides’ classic tragedy. Ana Asensio stars in the North American English premiere of this one-woman show by Madrid’s native, award-winning playwright Emilio Williams.

More than 2,400 years after the world premiere of her tragedy, Medea finally presents, with no inhibitions, all the mitigating factors surrounding her infamous case: from the sexual haste of her husband Jason, who is leaving her for a younger princess, to the overwhelming misogynist and anti-immigration sentiments pervasive in their new hometown, Corinth.
