Prompted by the reawakening of global consciousness caused by the events of 9/11, the Nimbus Theater Ensemble presents Mean Solar Day, a tale of an epidemic of blindness that inexplicably spreads from eye to eye. The loss of this one sense leads to the total loss of sense as the first victims are interned by the government in a defunct asylum. Jill Samuels directs this production, which was inspired by and adapted from the Nobel Prize winning novel Blindness, by Jose Saramago.
