Man of Infinite Desire

In Man of Infinite Desire, a one-woman show written and performed by Christina Nicosia, the devil Mephistopheles attempts to deliver a lecture on alchemy, but cannot help but digress into recollections of the erstwhile Dr.
Faustus. Recreating the story as seen from his own point of view, Mephistopheles becomes the characters of Faustus, Marthe, and Gretchen ­– Faust¹s love interest –­ who appears first as a corpse, then becomes a puppet/mask through which the Devil consummates his relationship with the Doctor.
