About the Show

In 1968, David, a gay Evangelical, comes out to Marilee. She believes it’s her mission from God to save him. Results? Internalized homophobia, down-low adultery, an exorcism, an arguably immaculate conception, suicidal behavior and a legacy of self-destruction. Based on events preceding one of the most controversial divorce trials in Colorado state history, Madonna and Child and Other Divas is a disturbing, relevant, true story.

Madonna and Child and Other Divas is presented as part of the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival.
