We join Liz in New York during the 1970’s and 80’s as she searches for her place among junior high gang members in public school and on scholarship among New York’s “elite” in private school. By age 10, she’s frequenting OTB. She’s rolling canolli’s in the East Village at 11. And by 13, under the tutelage of her temporary mobster stepfather, Otto, she’s canoeing down the Hudson with a boatload of coked-up mafiosos.
