In the slow manipulation of Stefanie, Dan, a happy–though sociopathic–lawyer, acts on his dark impulses with little success. Stef’s carefree persona takes its toll on Dan and Stefanie’s brother and her oldest friend. While the three of them try intermittently to hurt and to hold her, they find, love, and give up on each other. This humanistic play explores deep emotion, big buildings, little ferns, and of course, the subconscious.
