Lagrimas Negras

Belén is a member of a distinguished family and her life would be normal if there were no doubts about her origin. The reason of the doubts is her
cinnamon colored skin and her untamable and rebellious hair. Belén resorts to the hair straightening and other cosmetics tricks to gain acceptance to a society in which all have African roots.

Lágrimas Negras, the new-one-woman show by Eva Cristina Vásquez, uses elements from Latin American melodrama to emphasize the comic side of the character life situations.
