About This Show

Klara’s Boy asks the question: Could a career in art have saved the world from Hitler? A female psychologist and a male historian try to understand what made the boy Adolf Hitler turn into the adult monster. The psychologist strongly believes that a successful career as an artist would have saved Hitler from a life of evil; the historian casts doubts on her belief. As they argue back and forth, they introduce scenes from the life of the young Hitler, from infancy through young manhood. Aaron Beall directs.
