About This Show

Eleven twentieth century American celebrities, all of whom committed suicide (including Ernest Hemingway, Dorothy Dandridge, Lupe Velez, Sylvia Plath and Kurt Cobain), gather at a club where they discuss, joke, argue and sing about their lives and deaths. Using direct quotes from the characters’ works, and from interviews, Karaoke Night at the Suicide Shack is a witty, unique, and strangely moving piece of theatre. There is no performance at 2pm show on Saturday, May 3. There is an additional performance on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00pm.
