Jay Leonhart’s extensive repertoire of 20 original tunes includes original story-songs, parodies and comedic commentary, jazz tunes, and special material. Among his selections are: “Me and Lenny (Bernstein),” depicting a true encounter with the legendary maestro on a transcontinental airline flight; “The Dodgers,” a song about growing up next to Ebbets Field; “iguanas and Lizards,” which takes place at a Brazilian soiree where guests encounter strange-looking creatures; and “Couple From Duluth,” a song about stone-faced audience members.
