About the Show

Featuring BU College of Fine Arts students, faculty, alumni and friends, InCite 2012: Angels and Demons will explore the complex psychologies born out of fable archetypes in Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt and Béla Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle. The festival concludes with the University’s annual Theatre Showcase.

Highlighted by The NY Times, The Washington Post and The New Yorker since its launch in 2008, the InCite Arts Festival was conceived to celebrate and share the dynamic artistic strengths of the BU College of Fine Arts schools of Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Offering an eclectic and compelling combination of titles and artists, the moveable feast of InCite has presented four successful festivals in New York, as well as a high-impact debut in Washington D.C. By highlighting BU’s ‘new conservatory’ model, InCite demonstrates the leadership role that universities can play in promoting artistic expression and serving as arts laboratories reenergizing their professions.
