Hostage

The New Ensemble Theatre Company newest production, Hostage is inspired by the plays of Beckett, Sarte and Mamet. Playwright, Paul Angelo Viggiano introduces the audience to the play’s characters, Janis, Rodney and Peter. The lines of power seem to be solidly drawn, however; as the hostage and captors go on their journey it is obvious that deeper risks are at stake. This tense drama, asks with a measure of humor if we are truly free, or if we are, like so many others, prisoners of our own sense of powerlessness.
