Dixon Place presents Hollywood Endings, by Monica Bill Barnes. Known for making post modern dance with a decisive pop culture twist, Barnes presents petite dances featuring big stage personas in close quarters. This includes a glimpse of “Thank You and Good Night,” a new work celebrating stage fiasco, and an eclectic collection of short dances which combine virtuosity and humor, utilize music ranging from opera to pop, and bring together motif and surprise to turn absurd moments into something more profoundly familiar.
