About the Show

Directed by Yvan Greenberg
Performed by Corey Dargel, Oleg Dubson, Wil Smith

The loves and betrayals of a transvestite prostitute named Divine unfold as an “impossible ballet” on the set of a gay porn video-shoot.

Laboratory Theater is a Brooklyn-based experimental theater ensemble dedicated to the creation of original, interdisciplinary work for the theater. Under the direction of Yvan Greenberg, the company creates multi-layered works which blur the distinctions between dance and theater through a commingling of texts, choreography, immersive sound-scores, improvisation, indeterminate structures, and video. In 2007, Laboratory Theater was the first Dixon Place Artist-in-Residence, and helped Dixon Place establish their on-going residency program. Most recently, the company premiered GIT ALONG LIL DOGGIES at The Brick Theater in Brooklyn, October 14-30, 2010.” NY Press has described Laboratory Theater’s work as “Inane, insane, mundane…esthetic purity under the guise of the absurd,” and The Village Voice has lauded the company as “ironic, weird, experimental, anti-dramatic, and compelling.”
