Fact in the Head

Fact in the Head is NYC’s newest and most unique alternative comedy/variety show. Hosted by the unflappable Hosty Hostman and his sidekick, The Lovely Thistle, each show is a live-on-stage Battle of the Sexes, featuring a rotating selection of NYC’s top comedians. Each show ends up with one winning contestant, who takes home a Grand Prize worth $10,000 (sortof)! Best of all, each contestant is playing for his/her entire sex — that is, if the female contestant wins, then every female in the audience takes home a lovely prize, and vice versa for the males.

It’s structurally a game show, but it’s really all about the comedy. Standup, sketch, wild video and Amazing Little Known Facts all collide to create the most absurd, entertaining game show since I, Claudius.
