About This Show

If an African-American man sings country and western music IS HE REALLY BLACK? This seemingly absurd question is asked of friends, family, and colleagues of the wildly famous Wes Youngman in this comic and provocative, one man, musical love-letter to daytime talk shows and prime time biographies. Face Value, written and performed by Kevin R. Free and presented by Reverie Productions, was a hit of the 2000 New York International Fringe Festival. Kathy Deitch directs, with original music by Lori Fischer.
