About This Show

THE SQUID (theatre co.) presents David Lavine’s Elephant Titus. Two classic tales intertwine in a way never seen before on stage when Titus Andronicus meets The Elephant Man. General Titus Andronicus returns to Rome from the battlefields with a hideous disfiguring disease. And he’s just nuts about it.

Under the care and exhibition of the comely doctor-emperor Saturninus, Titus spends the remainder of his days in the dark and dingy Incurables Ward. Tamora, the famous Queen of the Goths, slinks and clinks about with her shackles, intent on avenging the general who destroyed her family and people. Soon after she allies with the hospital’s disgruntled Porter to cook up villainy, her bitter vengeance unexpectedly derails. Ed Roland directs.
