In 2011, Victoria Linchong was evicted from her EAst Village apartment after living there for nearly twenty years. Besides the quandary of trying to find a place to live in a gentrified New York City inhospitable to struggling artists, there was the equally vexing problem of what to do with all her books. Her solution? Dispossessed – a one-woman play about her eviction, after which she will give each person in the audience a book from her ridiculously extensive library.
