About This Show

Improv meets Indiana Jones in Dig, a new comedy from the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble (IRTE) that lets the audience determine the details of a daring adventure tale. Set just prior to the unearthing of a major archaeological discovery, this stylized homage to serial treasure hunters and pulp fiction action heroes takes you deep into the dig site as its plucky heroes embark on an underground exploration. They’ll square off against all manner of baddies, cursed artifacts and even a love interest or two along the way, but the specifics of those encounters will be up to you, the audience. Mixing a loose narrative structure with the unpredictability of improv, Dig brings thrilling old-timey adventure to the Midtown International Theatre Festival.
