The American Theatre of Actors presents Christopher Marlowe’s Dido, Queen of Carthage in its Outdoor Theatre.
This play tells the story of how Dido, the queen of Carthage (in what is now Tunisia), falls in love with the Trojan warrior Aeneas, who, having fled the burning Troy, has set off to establish the city of Rome. What does a hero do when distracted by a beautiful woman? Will he stay in Carthage or move on to Italy? The play reveals the answers to these and other questions. Jeff Dailey directs.
