Diana Shortes new work, White Sauce and Diaper Babies employs verbatim text, video projection & ambient sound to explore the emotional & psychological complexities of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Anne Sexton’s life & work. Sexton was diagnosed as an “hysteric” in 1956. The subsequent work of this “housewife -cum-poet” straddles that pesky & ever-present chasm between emotional unrest & political revolution.
