Chris Van Strander’s new play is based on the true story of one of the greatest hoaxes in recent history. Donald Crowhurst, an inexperienced British yachtsman with a failing business entered the The London Times ‘Around the World’ race in 1968. He misled officials with fake coordinates as to his location and eventually descended into madness and committed suicide. The production is performed on a docked boat, lending a strong sense of realism to the story.
