The Play Company opens its 2000/2001 free public reading series with Dance Upon Nothing — A Consideration of the Death Penalty. The evening features works by Truman Capote, Kenneth Tynan, Earnest J. Gaines, Kia Corthron, and Vincent Bugliosi. It focuses on whether or not capital punishment has a place in our justice system, and poses the question of how we as individuals are accountable for its use.
