Charlie’s Place

Frank Beachman’s Charlie’s Place — from the creators of last season’s hit Swango — is a scintillating dance musical of rhythm-and-blues. In 1950s South Carolina, a handful of adventurous young black and white dancers risk life and limb to create a bold new dance style. Their courage and love of music and dance overcomes racial prejudice, giving the world the legacy of Rhythm and Blues.
