Captain Louie – Concert Version (NYMF)

Captain Louie is a Concert Version of the new Stephen Schwartz musical for all the family. Based on the kid’s classic book The Trip. It features a book by Anthony Stein, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

Based on the picture book The Trip by Caldecott Award-winner Ezra Jack Keats, this brand new family musical that tells the story of a young boy on Halloween night who escapes into his own imagination as a means of coping with the loneliness he feels when he moves to a new neighborhood.

Broadway Producer Pam Koslow (Jelly’s Last Jam and Jane Eyre, The Musical) and First ACT producer Meridee Stein have teamed up with the National Music Theater Network to present this reading, to be directed by Stein. The cast features 4 children (3 from the current cast of Children’s Letters To God).
