About This Show

The Paper Industry makes its debut at the Ontological with its original piece, Building a House Out of Feathers. This hallucinatory journey through the last
remnant memories of the known world upturns the familiar and reveals its multiple faces, at turns beautiful, violent, delicate and grotesque. The play explores these aspects and their reflection on human behavior as the universe pulls itself apart piece by piece. As it turns out, the end of the world is a-ok.

Written/Directed by Jamie Peterson; Composed by Adam Lerman, Robert Jonas, Carter Matscullat, Kosuke Kasza and Chris Dauray; Performed by Adam Lerman, Ashley LaFond and Haley Greenstein

Each performance is preceded by live music.

Formed in 2006, The Paper Industry is a New York based theater company that aims to create theatrical works that place emphasis on the visceral understanding and experience of the audience. Its mission is to produce all
original works using original scores. By sponsoring events from both music and
theater, it expands the definitions and boundaries of experimental theater and music and, by doing so, becomes a culturally inclusive, community-oriented theater.
