“Buddy” Cianci: the musical, a world premiere by Jonathan Van Gieson (book, lyrics) and Mike Tarantino (music, lyrics), tells the true story of America’s most notorious politician: six times elected, twice convicted. From his frst run for office as the “Anti Corruption Candidate” to his resignation after pleading guilty to assaulting his wife’s boyfriend, from his comeback campaign to the trial that put him in jail, Vincent “Buddy” Cianci’s colorful life explodes on stage in this year’s New York International Fringe Festival.
