Caridad De La Luz’s one-woman show Boogie Rican Blvd. flashes through the life of a Puerto Rican woman whose culture was born in the mountains of Puerto Rico and reared on the streets of the Boogie-down Bronx. The show blends text, poetry, and spoken word with original rap and hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean chants and rhythms.
