Black Man’s Bluez

Black Man’s Bluez is set in New York where four friends–Octavian, Darnell, Terrence, and Damien–share a brownstone home. Terrence is a schoolteacher whose no-nonsense attitude drives his need for an openly gay experience, something his lover, conservative and upper-middle-class, cannot fathom. Darnell, a bartender, has allowed himself to retreat from facing his sexuality; a self-imposed exile held captive by his religious upbringing. Damien is a sensitive heterosexual who is the self-appointed defender of the gay status quo.
