Brian Lobel has one ball. This is his story. A 20 year-old University of Michigan theater student, Lobel began keeping a journal chronicling the awkwardness and comic moments encountered during his surgery, sperm bank visits and stem cell transplant. Comprised of 13 short monologues, Ball explores illness and survival with irreverence and healing, minus the sentimentality, allowing the awkwardness and anger to take center stage.
