About the Show

The Bergen Theater Project presents Bad Medicine, an evening of two one act plays. Set to the music of Miklós Rózsa, The Bad Case of Such and Such explores the dangerous and sultry world of a hard-nosed private eye and a mysterious woman. An homage to and send-up of film noir in seven acts, stereotypical noir roles and situations are set to the text of experimental director Richard Foreman’s “Disoriented”.
In a Kafkaesque hospital of absurd diagnoses and routine, a charming boy finds refuge in dreams from his sickness in The Sickest Boy in the World. Choreographed by Julia May Jonas, this is a look at friendship, childhood, and hospitalization with a text adapted from The Hypochondriac’s Handbook, by health writer Wendy Marston.
